Privacy & rules.

6hands.app is running in public beta. Accounts, profiles, messages, invitations, confirmed connections and events are fully operational. Demo profiles and sample invitations are clearly labeled as demo material. Photo albums undergo moderation before publication; age and identity verification currently rely on user self-declaration (18+).

Travel mode

We store the destination, country and date range only after you add a trip yourself. Every trip has its own visibility: private, for your circles, or only for people matched by overlapping dates and a shared language or interest. We don't ask for a hotel name, an address or a room number. Travel mode does not turn on continuous tracking. A private check-in stores its state and the time you picked, but in the pilot it doesn't send automatic alerts yet.

What we collect today

Account and profile data, the tags you pick, messages, visibility status, invitations, and connections both sides have confirmed. There is no ad analytics here, no tracking pixels, no marketing cookies.

Location

Phone location is optional and only turns on after you press the button. Before saving, we round coordinates to three decimal places (about 100 meters), we don't store your movement history, and we never show others a point on a map or an exact address. Others only see an approximate distance in 0.5 km steps. You can turn location off at any time — the saved point is then deleted.

Special category data

Under the GDPR, sexual orientation and data about a person's sex life are special category data (Article 9). The pilot does not ask about orientation and does not store it. The private 18+ intention requires separate, explicit consent; it is not public, it is not visible to a matchmaker, and it serves mutual matching only. Changing your intention withdraws that consent. This data does not feed advertising, does not flow into other products, and is never inferred from your clicks or messages.

Age

The service is for adults only. In the production version, age verification will be required to create an account.

Unsubscribing

Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also write to our contact address — we remove your entry right away, no questions asked.
